Question 1

Is Baritone a cheat or a quality-of-life mod?

Accepted Answer

It is automation. Baritone moves, mines and builds on your own account using normal game actions — it does not give combat or speed advantages beyond playing efficiently.

Question 2

How do I stop it mid-task?

Accepted Answer

Type #stop in chat. That cancels pathing, mining and building immediately and hands control back to you.

Question 3

Will it work on my server?

Accepted Answer

Baritone is client-side, so it runs anywhere technically. Many servers allow it, some ban automation outright. Read the server rules before you enable it.

Question 4

Which loaders are supported?

Accepted Answer

Fabric, Forge and NeoForge builds are listed for Minecraft 26.1, 26.2, 26.3 and 1.21.x. Choose the build matching your Minecraft version and loader.

Question 5

Which Minecraft versions are listed here?

Accepted Answer

Minecraft 26.1, 26.2, 26.3 and 1.21 through 1.21.11 are listed. Other Minecraft releases and development builds are on the GitHub repository. Do not assume a build supports a different patch version.

Question 6

Does it work with Impact?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Baritone is designed to coexist with Impact and similar clients — keybinds and movement control do not fight each other.

Question 7

Does it hurt performance?

Accepted Answer

Pathfinding runs on a background thread and is designed to stay off the render loop. Very long paths use more memory while calculating, then settle.
